Microsoft renamed Azure Active Directory (AAD)

  • 10/1/2023 9:20 AM

Microsoft recently changed one of its service names provided on the Azure portal. It announced the name change of Azure Active Directory (AAD) to Microsoft Entra ID to make it part of the Entra Product family. As an Azure Portal user, we have nothing to do with this name change. When you login to the portal, remember that you won’t find the Azure Active Directory (AAD) option; instead, just select Microsoft Entra ID.
