Microsoft released its new version in Office suite called Microsoft Office 2016 on July 2015 which is successor of Office 2013. Microsoft has made many improvements and enhancements to the Office 2016 as compared with previous versions. In this article we will discuss about Microsoft 2016 new features.
Saving and Sharing Files in the Cloud: Microsoft 2016 has a wonderful feature saving files in cloud. You can find this option on any of the Microsoft Office 2016 tool. For example, you can find Share option on extreme right side of the Microsoft Office 2016 word as shown below. Register at https://onedrive.live.com to get the 15GB free space at OneDrive.
By saving the files in cloud you can work on these files later from anywhere. We have different storage options available to store the files, for example if you are a Microsoft Office 2016 home user, you can save files in OneDrive. We can share the files with others by saving them in the cloud. We will discuss more about Saving and Sharing files in Cloud feature in my future articles.
Outlook – Change permissions for Attachments: Whenever we are sending any attachment via email through Outlook, we can define permissions for that attached file. We can set read only permissions for the file by right click on the file and select “Anyone can view” option or you can allow anyone can edit the file by selecting “Anyone can edit” option as shown below.
Save as PDF and Edit PDF files: You can save your Microsoft word document as PDF file and you can open PDF file with the help of Microsoft Office 2016 word. You can edit the PDF file by opening it in Microsoft word. Save the word document as PDF file by selecting Save As PDF option under novaPDF tab as shown below.

Create groups in Outlook: We can create and manage groups in our Outlook email account from Microsoft Office 2016 Outlook onwards.
PowerPivot in Excel: The powerful external data analysis add-in PowerPivot is integrated in Microsoft Office 2016 Excel. PowerPivot is useful to analysis the external source data within the excel. PowerPivot tab is available in the excel menu as shown below.
