Today Microsoft announced a new security processor, Pluton, which provides more security to Windows PCs. Microsoft developed the Pluton security processor in collaboration with its partners Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm Technologies. Microsoft will deploy this chip in all future Windows PCs to provide more security to its customers.
Microsoft Pluton security chip will replace the Trusted Platform Module (TPM's) chip used for cryptographic mechanisms. Hackers can't steal security information like credentials and encryption keys through the Pluton processor, and it also helps to recover from software bugs.
